Jobs also previously served as chief executive of Pixar Aniamtion Studios, he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, following the acquisition of Pixar by Disney. He was credited in the 1995 movie Toy Story as an executive producer.

Apple's board of directors today announced that Steve Jobs has resigned as chief executive officer, and the board has named Tim Cook, previously Apple's chief operating officer, as the company's new CEO.
